Animal patients are very different from human patients. For example:

Pets can't talk.
Pets hide early illness.
Pets age 5-7 times faster than humans.

As an animal ages, its body begins to change, just as a person's does. It is important to do regular examinations to detect and prevent serious disease conditions such as diabetes, kidney, liver, and other organ deterioration, anemia, and infections. In the early stages, these conditions may exist without any outward signs. If your pet is normal at the time of exam, we will have a valuable baseline to compare with future lab results.

Complete physical exam including heart, lungs, eyes, ears, teeth, skin, and abdomen
Blood pressure check to check for dangerous elevations
Bloodwork to check major organ function, anemia, infection
Urinalysis to check kidney and bladder health
Nutritional and behavioral counseling
If indicated, additional diagnostics including x-rays and ultrasound
